The goal I set at TORCH

"By the end of August, 2023, I will have ran a 5k without stopping."

The impact I want to make

This goal meant a lot to me because I had never ran that distance before. I knew, as team captain of my soccer team, my team was looking up to me as a positive role model. I wanted to challenge my own brain by pushing through my own mental barriers to complete a task I knew I was physically capable of. By achieving this goal I was able to build confidence in my own abilities and set an example for the younger girls on my soccer team that they can do anything they set their minds to.
